- Outline:
- Civilization has collapsed at the end of the 20th century, and for several hundred years, people have
been suffering from the oppression of this country's ruling tyrants. Even though Byakko village has
been destroyed by the Red King, Sarasa - at the time of her older brother's death - decides to fight back.
Sarasa and the Red King • Shuri, are enemies, but they met without knowing each other's identities,
and fell in love.
- After returning to Suou from the battle at Kumano, Shuri is betrayed by his subordinates and falls
from power. He is rescued by Doctor Bashô, and escapes to Okinawa. Meanwhile, Sarasa - whose eyes
were injured in Kumano - also goes to Okinawa, in order to visit Bashô. However, her ship is
wrecked in a storm and Sarasa has washed up on shore alone...
- Character Introduction:

[5]
- Bashô:
- {sfx: eh ho eh ho}
- A drowned corpse has washed up—?!
- Voice:
- Doctor Bashô! Quite the contrary.
- She's still alive.
What is it? What is it?
- {sfx: gaya gaya} (sound of an excited crowd)
- Voice:
- Chances are she washed up from one of them shipwrecks during the typhoon.
- She was floating on a piece of wreckage from a ship.
- Voice:
- Thank God we were able to save her.

(Haha, Shuri, Nago <-- Shipwreck , Okinawa Island.)
[10]
- Bashô:
- Oya, did you hurt your eyes?
- Sarasa:
- No, this is from before...
- {sfx: cough}
- Bashô:
- Well then,
- ...let me take a look.
- Sarasa:
- Where...
- ...is this...
- ...place?
- {sfx: cough cough}
- Bashô:
- Here?
- This is Nago.
- On Okinawa.
- Sarasa:
- Okinawa?!
- Sarasa:
- I've landed on Okinawa...?!
- Nakijin:
- Excuse me,
- ...Doctor Bashô.
- Nakijin:
- Thank goodness.
- You woke up.
- Nakijin:
- I made you some soup.
- Nakijin:
- I thought chicken soup would be good for you.
- I've also added some eggs.
And spinach.
- Bashô:
- Oh, good good.
- Thanks for all the trouble, Nakijin.
- Sarasa:
- "Doc... Doctor Bashô...?!"
[11]
- Bashô:
- That guy's Nakijin.
- He was the one who found you...
- ...and brought you to his house...
- Sarasa:
- Doctor...Bashô?!
- Bashô:
- Yes.
- Sarasa:
- Nagi's Master?!
- Do you know Nagi?
- Bashô:
- Ah,
- ...that name brings back memories.
- Bashô:
- Are you a friend of Nagi's?
- Sarasa:
- Yes!
- Sarasa:
- I was...
- ...looking for Doctor Bashô...
- ...to treat my eyes.
- Sarasa:
- I came with Nagi...
- ...all the way from Japan!
[12]
- Bashô:
- Well well.
- Bashô:
- Nagi's handiwork is quite impressive.
- Your eyes have already started to recover.
- Bashô:
- Dissolve this in warm water,
- ...and wash your eyes with it once a day.
- Bashô:
- I'll deliver some more medicine and eye ointment...
- ...a little later.
- Make sure to get plenty of nutrition and rest your eyes.
- Sarasa:
- Will...
- ...I be able...
- ...to see again?
- Bashô:
- You will.
- Just eat plenty of rich-colored vegetables...
- ...and you'll get better.
- Bashô:
- Now,
- ...don't cry.
- Bashô:
- Tears are bad for the eyes.
- Sarasa:
- Okay...
- Bashô:
- Finish your soup, then get some sleep.
[13]
- Sarasa:
- {sfx: slurp slurp}
- It's delicious...
- Bashô:
- Why,
- ...Nakijin is a pretty good cook.
- Nakijin:
- Doctor...
- Nakijin:
- Right now, all the neighborhood men are searching for other shipwreck survivors.
- I'm sure your companions are safe as well.
- Bashô:
- When it comes to Nagi, you needn't worry.
- Bashô:
- That kid is someone who has known his fate since he was a young child.
- Bashô:
- He's definitely not going to die in some random accident.
- Bashô:
- This doctor can guarantee you that.
- Bashô:
- So don't worry.
[14]
- Bashô:
- Nakijin,
- ...how's the typhoon damage here?
- Nakijin:
- Ah, our door was blown away.
- Nakijin:
- I was searching for it when I found her.
- Nakijin:
- Good thing too, since no one ever goes around that place.
- Sarasa:
- ...Actually, there were people...
- Nakijin:
- Eh?
- Sarasa:
- Two men...
- Sarasa:
- It sounded like they were arguing.
- Then there was a strange sound...
- Nakijin:
- What is she talking about...?
- It's giving me a bad vibe...
- Nakijin:
- Eh...?
- Bashô:
- Oh, Nakijin.
- Unten's here.
- Nakijin:
- Brother!
[15]
- Unten:
- Nakijin.
- Nakijin:
- Brother!
- Why're you home so early?
- Unten:
- Oh nothing, just wondering if you've seen Arakaki.
- Nakijin:
- Secretary Arakaki? No.
- What's wrong?
- Unten:
- Yesterday, after the typhoon,
- ...he left the office to meet with President Asato.
- But he hasn't been back since...
- Man:
- Ah, there you are! Governor Unten!
- Man:
- Bad news!
- Arakaki is...
[16]
- Man:
- Arakaki is...
- ...dead!
- Man:
- He was stabbed in the chest.
- Really terrible...
- Man:
- I were looking for shipwreck survivors,
- ...and found him under a tree...
- Nakijin:
- It's Asato.
- Brother, this must be Asato's doing.
- Unten:
- Nakijin!
- Unten:
- We can't make rash accusations without any evidence.
- For now, he's still our president.
- Unten:
- Surely...
- ...this is because of Arakaki's investigation into the situation with Japan.
- Perhaps he found out about some secret agreement...
- ...between President Asato and Japan.
[17]
- Unten:
- Let's say Asato intends to sell Okinawa to Japan.
- Even if we know it, we still have no proof...
- Nakijin:
- Proof...
- Sarasa:
- There were...
- ...people.
- It sounded like they were arguing.
- Then there was a strange sound...
- Shinbashi:
- Ku-
- {sfx: shake shake}
- Sarasa:
- Shinbashi, you okay?
You swallowed a lot of sea water.
- Sarasa:
- I'm glad you're okay.
- Sarasa:
- Nagi...
- Kakujî...
- Are you guys okay?
- Sarasa:
- I've finally found Doctor Bashô.
Shinbashi is immortal.
[18]
- Sarasa:
- He called Nagi "that kid."
- Even Nagi had a childhood once.
- Sarasa:
- I can't wait to be able to see.
- What does Okinawa look like?
- What kind of house am I sleeping in right now?
- Sarasa:
- Even though I hear all these gentle voices,
- ...I still have no idea what their faces look like.
- So it's still a little scary.
- Sarasa:
- But, a place with such delicious foods...
- ...must be a good place.
[19]
- Sarasa:
- I can clearly hear...
- Hens pecking...
- Sarasa:
- They've been let out to feed.
- The smell of livestock, cows and pigs...
- Sarasa:
- The aroma of grass...
- The sound of the wind.
- Sarasa:
- Such a sweet fragrance...
- From flowers...?
- Sarasa:
- And then...
- This sound...
- {sfx: kata toh kata toh kata...}
[20]
- Woman:
- Ara?
- It's you...
- Woman:
- Ah, it's okay, don't run away.
- Woman:
- Are you well enough to get up?
- What is it?
- Sarasa:
- Umm... sorry.
- I heard the sound of your loom.
- Woman:
- Oh, you know the sound?
- Woman:
- I'm making bashô cloth.
- (Note: Bashô means banana plant.)
[21]
- Woman:
- I tear the threads off...
- ...the bashô stalks planted over there...
- Woman:
- Ah, I'm sorry.
- You can't see.
- Sarasa:
- No...
- But can I study from you for a bit?
- Sarasa:
- The women from my village also weave cloths.
- Sarasa:
- There aren't many materials in the desert,
- ...so everything had to be brought in from far away.
- And they would weave little by little very carefully.
- Sarasa:
- It's a very nostalgic sound... for me.
- Sarasa:
- Such a lovely...
- ...sound.
[22]
- Sarasa:
- Even though my village no longer exists,
- ...for some reason, this place has the same feel.
- Sarasa:
- The name of Sarasa...
- ...is the name of a beautiful textile (calico).
- Nakijin:
- Mother, would you like some tea?
- Oh, Sarasa-chan.
- Sarasa:
- Whaa?!
- Nakijin:
- You won't get well if you don't rest.
- Now. I've got you.
[23]
(Nakijin picks Sarasa up.)
- Sarasa:
- I can walk by myself.
- I'll go back to bed by myself.
Gyah—
- Nakijin:
- Ah...
- Nakijin:
- I'm so sorry!
- I didn't mean to touch you inappropriately.
- Nakijin's Mother:
- What is this child babbling about?
- Sarasa:
- I... I understand.
- Sarasa:
- He's just as pushy as Shuri, but...
- ...he seems like a more meticulous person.
- {sfx: heh heh...}
- Sarasa:
- Sorry for bothering you.
- Nakijin's Mother:
- No no.
Come again.
- Nakijin:
- Eh- Impressive.
- She went straight to her room.
- Nakijin's Mother:
- She seems to have gone through many hardships.
- Nakijin's Mother:
- This reminds me of how Yûna-chan used to come over.
- She hasn't stopped by much these days.
- Nakijin:
- Well, she's getting married soon.
[24]
- Nakijin's Mother:
- Weren't you hoping for her to marry you?
- {sfx: katata... toh}
- Nakijin:
- Who says?
- Nakijin:
- Ever since her parents died,
- ...she's been depending on Asato so much.
- She feels indebted to him.
- Nakijin:
- You should worry more about big brother than me.
Afterall, I'm only 18.
- {sfx: kata}
- He's still a bachelor at his age.
- Nakijin's Mother:
- Of course I worry.
- {sfx: toh toh...}
- Nakijin's Mother:
- I'm worried sick about him.
- Once he starts running with all his might, he loses sight of everything else.*
- Nakijin:
- Brother will be fine.
Don't worry about it.
- I'm sure he'll become a splendid president.
- Nakijin's Mother:
- "Brother" this, "Brother" that.
I almost forgot.
- What about your own studies?
- {sfx: Ugh}
- Nakijin:
- Everyone's preparing for the (Election) Eve Festival right now.
- That's why none of the students have to study.
[25]
- Shuri:
- Eve Festival?
- Yûna:
- Yeah.
- Even though it's still too early for the election,
- ...the Eve Festival is going to start pretty soon.
- Me and Nakijin are going to dance in it.
- Yûna:
- There will be a boat race,
- ...and in particular, the bullfight.
- Yûna:
- Two bulls representing each presidential candidate...
- ...will fight for the prestige of victory.
- Bashô:
- Shuri, get down and push this buggy.
- It's uphill the rest of the way.
- Bashô:
- This is why I brought you along in the first place.
- Put your back into it.
Push harder.
[26]
- Bashô:
- Up there is Shuri Castle.
- Narration:
- Shuri Castle——
- Narration:
- It is the presidential residence.
- It is also where all government organizations are located and operates from.
- Narration:
- In short, it's a public office.
[27]
- Narration:
- If Naha is the economic heart of Okinawa,
- ...then Shuri...
- ...is its political center.
[28]
- Shuri:
- Shuri Castle huh?
- Sounds like it's named after me.
It's sort of red too.*
- Bashô:
- {sfx: Bonk!}
There.
- You deserve a smack for that!
- Shuri:
- Oww
- Bashô:
- You wear that slave brand on your back,
- ...so you ought to know your place in society.
- How can such unhealthy thoughts come out of you?!
- Asato:
- Ah! Doctor Bashô. Welcome.
- Yûna:
- Oji-sama.
- Bashô:
- Mr. President,
- ...we would have come sooner if not for that typhoon.
- I've brought you lots of souvenirs from Japan.
[29]
- Bashô:
- Ah, this here is the freeloader who's staying at my place.
- His name is Shuri...
- {sfx: GONE}
- Bashô:
- Oye? Shuri!
- Bashô:
- What are you doing——?!
- Shuri:
- Taking a piss.
- {sfx: shi—}
- {sfx: piss piss}
- Asato:
Ha-ha-ha-ha...
- That looks like fun.
- I think I'll join you.
- Bashô:
- Mr. President—
- {sfx: shi—}
- {sfx: shi—}
- Yûna:
- Oji-sama!!
- Asato:
- You don't think much of this place, do you?
- {sfx: drip drip}
- Shuri:
- Of course I don't.
- Shuri:
- Not one inch of this place...
- ...is designed to withstand an attack.
- Shuri:
- It's a castle that can't be used as a fortress.
- What's it good for?
Except to be pissed on!
[30]
- Asato:
- Well, this castle is used more for ceremonial festivals than anything else.
Ha-ha-ha
- Shuri:
What are you "ha-ha"-ing about?
- Why doesn't this country have an army?!
- Asato:
- Mmm?
- But why does your country have one?
- Shuri:
- What are you going to do if Japan attacks?
- Shuri:
- Just raise your hands and surrender?
- Asato:
- ...Well, I've been thinking of ways to resolve this issue...
- ...without going to war.
- Shuri:
- Don't be naive.
- You're in no position to bargain with the Japanese Emperor.
- This is why you're a fool.
- Asato:
- In spite of all that,
- ...I refuse...
- ...to turn this country into a battlefield.
[31]
- Asato:
- I've already decided.
- Asato:
- Protecting this land and its people...
- ...is my number one concern.
- That should be the mission of any country's leader.
- Asato:
- Or is that not the case for your country?
- Yûna:
- Oji-sama,
- ...it's useless to talk sense into that idiot.
Idiot.
- Asato:
Ha-ha-ha
- You shouldn't say that.
Bashô:
Just stay over there!
- Shuri:
- What an odd country.
- Shuri:
- The longer I stay here,
- ...the more I feel like the ground is crumbling under my feet...*
- Shuri:
- What...
- ...is my number one concern...
[32]
- Shuri:
- Sarasa...
- Why?
- Shuri:
- Lately,
- ...I keep seeing you in my dreams.
- Sarasa:
- Just a couple more days and these bandages are coming off.
[33]
- Sarasa:
- Nakijin, I've watered the yard.
- Nakijin:
- You can draw up water from the well too?
- Nakijin:
- Impressive. Sarasa,
- ...you already know every inch of this place.
- Sarasa:
- Well, I can't stand not doing anything...
I still can't do much though.
- Nakijin:
- That's good enough.
- Now, open your mouth.
Pop
- Sarasa:
- {sfx: munch munch}
- This so-called pineappuu sure tastes good.
- Nakijin:
- It's pineapple, with a bit of sugar on top.
- Ah, there's a bucket over there, so watch your step.
[34]
- Sarasa:
- Washing the bull?
- Nakijin:
- Yep.
- This baby's going to bullfight in the upcoming festival.
- Sarasa:
- Ah, I know about bullfighting!
- A man is supposed to flutter a red cloth around.
Olé!
- Nakijin:
- No, no.
- Ours is like dogfights and cockfights.
- The bulls fight each other.
- Nakijin:
- This here is Unten Togaî (meaning = Sharpy).
- Sarasa:
- To ga ii? (meaning = door is good)
- Nakijin:
- We call him Togaî because of his sharpened horns.
- Nakijin:
- He's going to face off against President Asato's bull.
- He'll surely win.
- Nakijin:
- ...
- Nakijin:
- ...Hey, if it's alright with you,
- ...can I ask you something...
- Sarasa:
- Yeah?
[35]
- Nakijin:
- My brother's secretary was killed...
- ...the day you washed up on Okinawa.
- Nakijin:
- You said you heard two people arguing.
- Sarasa:
- Umm...yeah...
- Nakijin:
- The voice you heard,
- ...can you recognize it if you hear it again?
- Sarasa:
- ...I'm not sure.
- Maybe.
- Nakijin:
- Can you ride a horse?
- Sarasa:
- You bet!
- Nakijin:
- Well then, let's go out for a bit.
- Nakijin:
- Chances are the owner of that voice...
- ...will show up at the speeches today.
[36]
- Nakijin:
- Are you okay?
- Sarasa:
- Yep.
- Nakijin:
- If you take this road all the way south,
- ...you'll arrive at Naha,
- ...where the Eve Festival will take place.
(Nakijin notices Shuri by the side of the road.)
- Nakijin:
- It's him again.
- So he's still hanging around here.
- Sarasa:
- Him?
- Nakijin:
- Just some guy freeloading at Doctor Bashô's place.
- Let's ignore him.
[37]
- Asato:
- Everyone,
- ...please vote for me!
- Asato:
- I know very well...
- ...that what you desire most in your hearts is peace.
- Nakijin:
- Well, do you recognize this voice?
- Asato:
- Let's protect the freedom and peace...
- ...of Okinawa.
- Sarasa:
- ...
- Asato:
- Oh, Nakijin.
- Checking out the opposition, huh?
Woman:
Do your best!
- Asato:
- Stop glaring at me like that.
- It seems like you really hate me.
[38]
- Asato:
- Ah... You...
- ...must be the Japanese girl Doctor Bashô told me about.
- Asato:
- Has everyone been kind to you?
- Sarasa:
- Yes.
- Asato:
- Of course, of course.
- Asato:
- The people of Okinawa are renown for their hospitality.
- They love their own country, but they respect other countries as well.
- Asato:
- Do you love your own country?
- Sarasa:
- ...I like...
- ...certain places.
- Asato:
- It'd be good if we can improve our relations.
- Asato:
- Well then, take care.
- Sarasa:
- This person is the president...
He sounds like a great man...
- He has a warm hand...
- ...and a kind voice...
[39]
- Sarasa:
- I don't think he's the one.
- Sarasa:
- He doesn't sound like a murderer.
- At least according to my senses.
- Nakijin:
- Really...
- Perhaps he hired someone else to do it.
- He probably didn't want to dirty his own hands.
- Nakijin:
- Ah, my brother's speech just started.
- Let's go.
- Sarasa:
- Nakijin, you really love your older brother, don't you?
- Nakijin:
- Of course!
- Nakijin:
- Our father died early, so our mother suffered a lot in order to raise us.
There, I've got you.
- My brother worked hard to help her out.
- Nakijin:
- I admire him.
[40]
- Sarasa:
- It's great, isn't it?
- It's so wonderful to have a big brother...
- Sarasa:
- I have a big brother who I respect as well.
- Nakijin:
- You have a big brother too?
- Sarasa:
- Yeah, but now...
- Unten:
- Everyone!
- What's the use of all these peace talks?
- Unten:
- If we are occupied by Japan,
- ...we will have no freedom.
- Unten:
- Let's fight back!
- Let's hold on...
- ...to our pride and courage!
[41]
- Sarasa:
- This...voice...
- Sarasa:
- Nakijin...
- Sarasa:
- This...voice...
- ...is your brother's...?
- Nakijin:
- Yep.
- That's my brother Unten.
- Voices:
- Please do your best!
- We support you!
- Thanks!
- Unten:
- Nakijin.
- Nakijin:
- Brother, let me introduce Sarasa.
- Unten:
- Ah, you're the girl who was washed ashore a while ago.
- Nakijin:
- Sarasa knows the voice of the person who murdered Arakaki.
- Nakijin:
- Since she can recognize the voice if she hears it again,
- ...I brought her along to listen to Asato's voice.
[42]
- Unten:
- You can recognize it...
- ...if you hear it again?
- Unten:
- Really?
- Voice 1:
- You were actually deceiving your countrymen.
- Traitor!
- Voice 2:
- Be quiet.
- You better keep quiet about this or else.
- Voice 1:
- What are you doing? Stop!
- Stop!
[43]
- Sarasa:
- It's this voice!!
- Sarasa:
- Because his secret was uncovered,
- ...he killed his own subordinate.
- Unten:
- ...Well, if you find out who the killer is,
- ...please let me know.
- Unten:
- Nakijin,
- ...starting from tomorrow, I'll be living at home.
- Let Mother know.
<— He's been living in his office.
- Nakijin:
- Wow,
- ...she'll be happy to hear that.
- Unten:
- I look forward to hearing all the news about Japan.
- Nice meeting you, Miss.
[44]
- Nakijin:
- Eh?
- A chopstick's missing.
- Sarasa:
- I can't hide a knife on me.
- Unten silenced his subordinate.
- He probably won't allow a witness like me to live.
Sorry, I've taken a chopstick.
But I need it...
- Sarasa:
- I should go to Doctor's Bashô's house.
- Then I must find Nagi & the others.
- Unten:
- The sun has set.
- Where are you going at this time?
[45]
- Unten:
- I'm going night-fishing later.
- I'd like you to come with me.
- Unten:
- Night-fishing is my only hobby, you know.
- Unten:
- This is the place...
- ...where water from the ocean and rivers merge.
- So there's always an abundance of fish here.
- Sarasa:
- .....
- Unten:
- You...
- ...already know...
- ...who the murderer is, right?
[46]
- Unten:
- Then I would have to get rid of you.
- Since you're Japanese,
- Unten:
- ...instead dirtying my own hands,
- ...I'll just leave you to your fellow countrymen.
- Sarasa:
- ?!
- Sarasa:
- A boat...?!
- Unten:
- Welcome.
- You've journeyed far from Japan.
- Creepy Man 1:
- Hello,
- Unten.
- Thanks for waiting.
[47]
- Sarasa:
- Japanese...?!
- Unten is working with the Japanese...?!
- Creepy Man 1:
- Who's this girl?
- Unten:
- She washed ashore from a shipwreck.
- Unten:
- She witnessed me killing my secretary.
- So I'm giving her to you.
- Unten:
- You can take her back with you,
- ...or throw her in the ocean.
- Do whatever you want with her.
- Creepy Man 2:
- Such a pity for one so young.
Now, come over here.
- Creepy Man 1:
- Then,
- ...have you decided on the date of the operation?
- Unten:
- Yes.
- Unten:
- Three days from now, during the Eve Festival,
- ...at the bullfighting arena,
- ...I want you to kill President Asato.
[48]
- Sarasa:
- Kill Asato?!
- Unten:
- I'll drug the bulls to cause them to riot.
- Unten:
- Please do your part during the confusion.
- Unten:
- Since the assassins are Japanese, I'll stand up in rage...
- ...and rouse the people to declare war on Japan.
- Unten:
- In a formal war,
- ...we'll be no match for Japan.
- Unten:
- Before there are many casualties, Okinawa will surrender...
- ...and fall under Japanese occupation.
- Creepy Man 1:
- Afterwards, your position...
- ...as Okinawa's consul...
- ...will be guaranteed by the Emperor.
- Unten:
- This country is going to be taken by Japan sooner or later.
- But if we put up some sort of a fight for the history books,
- ...then Okinawa's pride will be preserved.
[49]
- Unten:
- The above...
- ...is my scenario...
- ...of Okinawa's surrender.
- Creepy Man 1:
- We, the Torinoko Brothers,
- ...agree to this scenario...
- ...on behalf of the Emperor.
- Unten:
- Well then, three days later.
- Torinoko Brothers:
- Three days later.
- Torinoko Brother 1:
- {sfx: gulp...}
- Ah, the girl.
- Torinoko Brother 1:
- You heard everything.
- Now prepare to die.
[50]
- Torinoko Brother 1:
- Trying to escape?!
- Torinoko Brother 1:
- When you run out of breath,
- ...we'll let you float out to sea.
- {sfx: gurgle gurgle}
- Sarasa:
- These are the Emperor's henchmen.
- {sfx: gurgle gurgle}
- There's no way in hell...
- Sarasa:
- ...I'd be killed...
- ...by such people in such a place!!
[51]
(Sarasa stabs the Torinoko Brother with her chopstick.)
- Torinoko Brother 1:
- Ouch-ch-ch!
- Torinoko Brother 2:
- What's wrong?
What're you doing?
- Torinoko Brother 1:
- Tst, I got careless with that girl.
Ouch—
- Torinoko Brother 2:
- Find her!
- Torinoko Brother 2:
- She can tell Asato everything.
- Find her.
- And kill her!
[52]
- Voice:
- Where is she?
- I can't see anything in the dark.
- Eeeh. Goddammit!
- {sfx: haa haa}
- Nakijin:
- I admire...
- ...my brother.
- Sarasa:
- This place is so peaceful,
- ...has such a pleasant atmosphere,
- ...and such kind people.
- Sarasa:
- But even then,
- ...it's consumed...
- ...by the same fire...
- ...that smothers Japan.
[53]
- Sarasa:
- How infuriating.
- So infuriating.
- Sarasa:
- I have to tell President Asato everything...!
- {sfx: haa haa}
- Sarasa:
- Even though I don't understand the whole situation,
- ...I know...
- ...that man must not be killed.
- Nakijin:
- If you take this road all the way south,
- ...you'll arrive at Naha, where the Eve Festival will take place.
- Sarasa:
- Let's go, Shinbashi.
- Even though I don't know how far away it is,
- ...I'll walk to Naha.
[54]
- Sarasa:
- Are they coming after me?
- I don't know.
- Passerbys:
Ha ha ha ha...
Wah wah
- Sarasa:
- Maybe there are more of them in Okinawa.
- I can't randomly ask for help.
- Sarasa:
- Shinbashi, am I going the right way?
- Am I?
- Shinbashi:
- Ku-
Can't see in daylight.
- Sarasa:
- {sfx: haa haa haa}
[55]
- Sarasa:
- Being treated as a girl...
- ...is so nice.
- Sarasa:
- But...
- ...I can't depend on others in this situation.
- Sarasa:
- Nagi... Kakujî.
- I don't have anyone right now.
- Sarasa:
- Be strong!
- Tatara!
- I have to get through this alone!
- {sfx: haa haa haa}
[56]
(Sarasa puts her ears on the ground.)
- Sarasa:
- I hear...
- ...music...
- Sarasa:
- The Eve Festival...
- ...has started.
[57]
- Yûna:
- Hey, Nakijin.
- You don't look too happy?
- Nakijin:
- She's missing.
- Yûna:
- Who?
- Nakijin:
- Her eyes can't see yet.
- Where has she gone off to so suddenly?
- Asato:
- {sfx: clap clap clap clap}
- {sfx: rah— rah—
[58]
- Asato:

- Announcer:
- Now, for today's main event!
- The bullfight!
- Announcer:
- Asato's Yûna, in white, has entered the arena.
- I don't need to tell you about this treasured red bull of Asato's.
- Announcer:
- Unten's Togaî, in red, has also entered the arena.
- This is the black bullet from Toku Island.
- Announcer:
- Now, this is the vital battle that will divine the outcome of our presidential election.
- Announcer:
- Go, Unten!
- Do your best, Asato—
- Sign:
- Presidential Special Seat
- Yûna:
- Ah, Doctor, where's Shuri?

- Sign:
- Soba

- Tako (octopus)
[60]
- Sarasa:
- I can hear the cheers from the bullfighting arena.
- I'm finally here...!
- Nakijin:
- Brother, don't the bulls look a bit strange?
Both of them.
- Their eyes are bloodshot and they're more excited than normal.
- Unten:
- Really? Perhaps they ate something bad.
- Crowd:
- YEAAH—
- YEAAH—
- Nakijin:
- If something sets them off,
- ...I'm sure they'll get out of control...
[61]
- Crowd:
- Go! Go!
- YEAAH—
- YEAH—
- Torinoko Brother 2:
- Oye!
- It's that girl...
- Sarasa:
- {sfx: Gasp}
Shinbashi:
Stop!
- Torinoko Brother 1:
- Did you come out to be killed,
- ...little girl?
- Torinoko Brother 1:
- Eeh. Bitch.
- Wait!
[62]
(Sarasa climbs onto a platform.)
- Sarasa:
- {sfx: bump}
- {sfx: haa haa}
- Crowd:
- {sfx: rah— rah—}
- Torinoko Brother 1:
- Where're you running off to?
- It's a dead end.
- Sarasa:

- {sfx: rah— rah— rah— rah—}
- I hear cheering.
- The bullfight is right below me.

- What's that?!
- Crowd:

- Watch out!
[64]
- Sarasa:
- Mr. President!
- President Asato!
- Where are you?!
- Sarasa:
- Please escape!
- Torinoko Brother 1:
- Damn bitch...
- Sarasa:
- Someone...
- ...is after your life.
- {sfx: snap}
- Crowd:
- GYAHH!
- She's falling!
[65]
(The rope snaps and Sarasa slams into one of the bulls.)
- Bull:
- HUFF—
- Man:
- Watch out.
- {sfx: waaah}
- {sfx: kyah—}
- Hold the bull!
[66]
- Man:
- Hold it down.
- Man:
- Waaah
- Gyaah
- Man:
- It's no use.
- We can't hold it down.
- Run away!
- Sarasa:
- Ouch...
[67]
(The crazed bull stops right in front of Sarasa.)
- Sarasa:
- What...
- A bull...?!
- Nakijin:
- Sarasa!
- Run!
- {sfx: waah wa— kyah—}
- You're in danger!
- Voice:

- Sign:
