Anime vs. Manga

This is the place where I compare the anime Legend of Basara with the manga Basara. Both tell the same story. But the manga actually covers the whole story in 27 volumes, whereas the anime stops at the end of manga vol. 5.

Now, even though the anime stops short, it was still a very faithful adaptation of manga vol. 1-5. There were only 2 major changes, or omissions. I've provided summaries and some manga scans of these missing scenes. Enjoy.
